Manchester Cityand Borussia Monchengladbach were involved a dispute on Tuesday night over the rescheduling of their Champions League tie after torrential rain forced the postponement of the game at the Etihad Stadium.Despite the pitch at the Etihad draining well, the Group C game was called off 20 minutes before the scheduled 7.45pm kick off on safety and security grounds after flash flooding wreaked havoc in the surrounding area and has been rescheduled for the same time on Wednesday evening.Monchengladbach wanted to play the game at 6pm in order to allow them to fly back to Germany after the match but City were adamant that they would have been unable to staff the game at that time and insisted upon the later kick-off.
