Mississauga Steelhead Alex Nylander signs with Buffalo Sabres
Alex Nylander has signed his entry-level contract with the Buffalo Sabres, the team selected him eighth overall in last month's NHL Draft.The Mississauga Steelheads forward was drafted after a season in which he recorded 75 points (28 goals and 47 assists) in 57 regular season games, followed by 12 points (six goals and six assists) in six playoff games.Nylander also led Team Sweden in scoring at both the World Junior Championships and the World Under-18s, where Sweden claimed silver in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
